Job Objectives

The successful candidate will be expected to grow the Real Estate Consulting team across the UK by winning work and developing relationships, delivery quality commissions and working closely with the wider business in the Real Estate and Infrastructure divisions.

You will act as Commission Lead for teams of consultants and be part of teams delivering consultancy commissions, bringing real estate and property asset management expertise to ensure high quality deliverables are achieved.

Skills Required

Candidates will be able to demonstrate that they have the qualifications, skills and experience required to operate at Associate Director Level; generating new business, creating new relationships and delivery high quality consultancy commissions.

We are interested in motivated, performance oriented and engaging individuals with relevant real estate, property and commercial experience. We need self-starters, capable of using their own initiative, who are credible and confident with a broad range of stakeholders. The skills, capabilities and experience we are seeking includes:

  • Real estate, property and consulting, with client experience in the local authority, education and health sectors.
    Experience in the preparation of business cases (SOC / OBC / FBC), estate / property strategies, business plans, operating models, change management and One Public Estate.
  • A relevant real estate industry qualification – surveying, engineering, financial or accounting.
  • Experience in a client side and consultancy environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in a client facing environment.
  • Financially literacy with excellent commercial understanding and financial analysis capability
  • Ability to understand and combine commercial, strategic and operational perspectives
  • A persuasive personality, not afraid to challenge, debate and influence key decisions
  • Demonstrable programme management, project management, capital projects and contract management skills
  • Being a team player, confident with others and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required, plus also to work in new sectors or environments

Our client work focuses on corporate occupiers, both public and private sector, real estate investors and developers, property companies, landowners and service providers. For example, we work with government departments, local authorities, NHS trusts, financial services companies, utilities companies, plus retail, manufacturing and technology companies.
We help our clients understand, capture and improve both the financial and non-financial benefits from real estate portfolios, in particular ensuring performance is aligned to business goals and organisation objectives.
