Job Summary

Turner & Townsend is GROWING! We are looking for a Cost Engineer to join our Team supporting one of our Key Oil & Gas Client’s downstream.

Reporting to Turner & Townsend Account Manager, the Cost Engineer will be part of our Project Services Team, working at the EPC companies in Houston offices selected by our Client.

The successful candidate must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.The candidate must have a proven track record of working as a Cost Engineer professional on Small/Mid/Large Capital projects within Oil & Gas, Chemical & Petrochem business sector. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.

 

 

 

Job Objectives

Review Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) & Execute Project Budgets

Participate in Project Risk Reviews, providing Qualitative & Quantitative cost inputs

Attend to Project phase /stage gate peer reviews providing Cost Controls Lessons Learned.

Create Baseline Spending Plan (Planned Value)

Establish Fit for Purpose WBS/CBS (Work Breakdown Structure & Cost Breakdown Structure)

Prepare and issue periodic cost reports.

Enter Purchase Requisition /Purchase Order into Client’s ERP system according to an agreed WBS & Baseline Budgets.

Collect reliable Cost data for Internal & External Benchmarking purposes

Maintain & Control Cash flow Forecast based on Value of Work Perform or Work in Place.

Maintain Invoice Accruals process

Create Monthly Forecast Basis aligned with Progressed Resource Loaded schedule for Cashflow Projections

Facilitate, Monitor, Track and challenge Change Orders requests, process Change Order approvals, maintain Change Order Logs and Contingency drawdown per risk profile.

Maintain WBS Coding and Logs

Perform financial closeout documentation.

Monitor Actual Cost on a routine Basis

Delivers accurate, informative, well-organized documentation.

Communicates effectively with Project Stakeholders to identify project status.

Perform Periodic Earned Value Analysis, Tracking Actual Value against Planned Value & Earned Value
